Blue Glass Bottle...Finished

I finally decided to use a real watercolor wash for the bottle.  I had been thinking of using the pigmented inks that i have (Daler Rowney FW acrylic artists ink) but i found them to be less brilliant than watercolor.

I like that the background (looking out the window) is black and white as it reminds me of the fact that there was snow on the ground when i started it. :)

  1. Hello Cyn - great to see your finished pieces. I like the way you're experimenting with the different techniques, and using colours. I love the quiet, still, quality your drawings have. I have to say I have not found an ideal way of presenting stipple drawings online either - seems as if it's always a compromise between showing the stipples, and showing the effect of the drawing in its entirety.

  2. Hey, Christine...
Yes, it seems that each piece i work on has its own type of technique...i'm learning so much! And i'm glad to hear that it's not just me who has trouble getting stipple drawings to translate well to screen!
